Mandarin Sourcing & Product Development was founded in 2014 by a group of expatriates who (at that time) were all living and working in Guangzhou (China). All of us got sent to Guangzhou by our employers to make use of our knowledge and expertise in international business. After several years in Guangzhou we were individually ready to make the next step in our respective careers. We all shared the ambition to work for ourselves without being tied down to one location. Soon the idea was born to combine our knowledge and networks and build upon each other’s strengths by creating one large network. A network that spans not just ourselves, but also includes everybody’s personal business network consisting of hundreds of factories and wholesalers. Creating a company where the client gets connected to the right partners, while experiencing knowledgeable personal service and competitive prices!
What makes us stand out
Everybody involved with Mandarin has many years experience of living and working in China and other countries around the world. This gives us a very extensive network with many specialized partners. We all speak (at least) three languages. All of us are fluent in English and almost all of us speak fluent Mandarin as well, allowing us to communicate clearly with both our clients and our manufacturing partners. We work without brick offices and a large support staff. We believe that every order is unique and deserves a suitable approach. The only people involved with your order, are the people that should be. This way of working allows us to keep our overhead low, assuring our clients competitive prices and direct contact with an experienced professional.

We promote fairness and sustainability by offering fair prices from fair places. We can offer fair prices by having eliminated unnecessary overhead and going straight to the source. We do not have big expensive offices, we do not have a large support staff, and we limit our travelling to what is deemed necessary. You only pay for what you need. We promote sustainability by having manufacturers in our network that have passed social audits and by having many eco friendly options regarding materials. We have a large network of local quality inspectors, allowing us to minimize our carbon footprint, while at the same time stimulating the local economy and enjoying the expertise and knowledge of the people who speak the local dialect.
